The first Sangama committee meeting for year 2009 was held
on Jan 17th 2009. Discussion was mainly around 3 functions organized by Sangama,
cultural activities, food and fund raising in these events.
Decisions and tasks to do
- A new
website will be created or existing one will be updated so that Sangama
events and activities can be better published.
- Ugadi
function is decided to be on March 28th from 4 to 10 PM at temple.
- Picnic
will be held in August. First preference is North
Allegheny park.
- CMU
and Pitt students should have better participation at the kannada events.
To encourage this Sangama will help with transportation and discounted
food during the event.
- Instead
of books or other gifts, gift certificates will be a better idea as gifts
during the sangama events.
- Next
meeting will be in Febraury.
